THE PLANNING BOARD:

The Planning Board shall consist of the Chairman, two representatives of the Government of India , one representative of UGC and six members to be nominated by the Governing Body to:

Advice the council on the:

• Design and structure of the Programmes and the methods of instruction  in the rural institutes;

•  Establishment of new rural institutes;

• Principles for determination and disbursement of grants to rural institutes;

Monitor, review and evaluate the academic programmes offered by rural institutes; and

Provide any other guidance, assistance or advice to the council in achieving the objectives.
