| Looking at the paradigm shift in the development planning process and significant change in government’s approach of participatory resource management, Micro Planning Unit is designed to provide the crucial link between planning and implementation process at grass-root level. The unit is working to provide the operational basis for sanctioning projects to its rural partner and examine issues of area-based basic problem with a comprehensive local-based strategy. The unit’s core approach is to work towards; identification of problem with the help of community, intervening in those areas where the state government devolved power to local bodies, find the ways to involve government bodies in the whole process, integrating micro planning with decentralization and above all creating a platform to provide space, resource and opportunities for Gram Sabha to become effective in preparing local planning. The unit is working to provide the operational basis for supporting different projects. |
