- Organising awareness campaign, training programmes, workshops and seminars for local communities through credible local organisations.
- Providing technical support to the team of planners.
- Establishing a “National Policy-Advocacy-Research Network” with likeminded professionals on micro planning.
- Formulate and disseminate methodologies in participatory Micro planning keeping in view the powers and functions of the three tiers of Panchayat Raj and requirements of the other sectoral departments.
- Ensuring Participation of NGOs, local institutions, poor and underprivileged.
- Research, documentation and dissemination of best practices of micro planning.
- Skill enhancement of participating partners, value addition and enterprise development around selected livelihood options.
- Gender and health equity and ensuring women's participation in decision making in community and local administration.
