Rural Resource Informatics Centre  established under National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI) , is  a knowledge platform, developing an integrated rural resource information base serving  as a focal point to Rural Institutes  for providing systematic and scientific decision support for the development of rural education through networking of existing databases. RRIC will also provide other allied value-added services with area specificity as per the needs of Rural Institutes to improve the quality of rural lives in India . The role of RRIC would be crucial in creating social capital and knowledge capital in developing the Rural Institutes into Rural Universities.
